Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G Review

It is clear that the Galaxy S21 series will not let its light shine through the night. It will deliver one final blitz prior to Galaxy S22 comes out, Galaxy S22 steals the spotlight. The final model in the S21 series is geared towards most loyal people who love the brand. It brings together everything Galaxy S21 essentials into one robust, no-nonsense phone. Yes, it’s the Samsung S21 FE5G.

Samsung has concentrated on three of the most popular features in this Fan Edition – display, performance and camera. It has also tried to offer more of these features for less money, a task that is best suited to the flagship killer type. We surely are not calling it that, but the S21 FE does sound quite promising as an almost-there-flagship.

Its Galaxy S21 FE updates the display using the S21’s display panel. It comes with the 6.4-inch dynamic AMOLED display display with the native HDR10+ support, and 120Hz refresh rate. Its Super AMOLED did not have HDR10 capabilities when it first launched which was disappointing in the past, but HDR10 capabilities were later added in 2021.

Also, there’s performance not surprising the Galaxy S21 FE has the same hardware features as the other models in the S21 series, which is either the Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 processor. However, the segmentation of chipsets is reversed here : the model that is international has the Snapdragon and Samsung’s silicon is only available in Australia (so that far).

Then, let’s discuss cameras. It’s like it’s a copy-paste of an earlier model, the Galaxy S20 FE – a 12MP primary camera, a second 12-megapixel camera for ultrawide images as well as an 8MP telecam for three times optical zoom. The selfie-focused camera is probably the same also a 32MP model. Samsung does not promote the new hardware as being more efficient however it boasts more processing power and cool features such as Object Eraser which are all made possible because of the brand new chipset.

Stereo speakers and The stereo speaker and UD fingerprint scanner will be around for a while as well, however, the microSD slot did not make the cut. It’s one of those popular features that won’t be well-liked by the public certainly the case. On the other hand, there is a bright side this S21 FE now features a real-time proximity sensor instead of the virtual one which will solve the many complaints.

Waterproofing is a crucial aspect to this Galaxy S series, and the S21 FE has been rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. Its design is similar to that phones in phones in the Galaxy S21 phones, and the build quality is similar to the standard Galaxy S21 flagship – a Gorilla Glass Victus front, an aluminum frame with a matte black back

The most notable missing features of the new Fan Edition are the 3.5mm Jack (not accessible in the S20 FE) as well as MicroSD slots (available only on S20 FE). We’d have loved to have seen one of those selfies with 10MP AF in lieu of the 32MP quad-bayer camera, however, we’re guessing that’s to the S22 FE’s wish list instead.

There’s no less expensive 4G model available for Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE like it was the case with S20 FE S20 FE, which is perhaps another issue for some customers. It is likely that 5G is now the standard and lower-cost 4G variants in the future are very unlikely.

Unboxing the Galaxy S21 FE

Apple has introduced a product that Samsung quickly took up, even though people aren’t happy with the idea. We’re talking about the eco-friendly cost-saving retail box that includes only a cable and some papers.

This is exactly what you receive with every Galaxy S21, and that’s what the Galaxy S21 FE 5G retail box comes with, It supports fast 25W charging, but if would like to use it and haven’t yet purchased an adapter before, now is the best moment to get one.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
